About Free CSS

Free CSS has come about due to the frustrating search for relevant, informative information about cascading style sheets.

Having to search the web for tutorials, designs, examples is hard enough, but searching for helpful information has become one of the hardest things to do in the web. There are loads of sites out there that provide information about CSS but finding a site where you can revert back to time after time is almost impossible.

I have come up with this site to provide a resource for all web designers and hopefulls, to find what they are looking for on one site.

The aim of the site is to come up with a resource that can provide various information relevant to and for CSS which complies to a high standard, helping both professional web developers and users that are just starting out with CSS.

Cascading Style Sheets

Cascading Style Sheets can be hard to understand and implement when you are starting out, but with this resource of tutorials and examples we hope to help you the user help yourself.

Hopefully the CSS community will contribute to our project, increasing our database of CSS tutorials, examples, designs and general CSS inspiration.

Our Design

Many people will say that our design is boring or not to modern standards: I dont care.

All of our sites use one and the same design, the only changes that can be found are the logos or page title at the top of each domain. We decided to use one template/design so that our sites are recognized as one.

I came up with this design after testing various other designs, it is a clean and easy to use design. We hope that everyone that uses this site will in the end appreciate that a simple clean design is sometimes a lot better than having a site that is so small and crammed full of information that makes it hard to navigate and read the information provided. We have use relative font sizes to accomodate for as many users as possible.

The site is not fully accessible and at this stage it wont be for a while. We are working on the system that we are using to accomodate for more accessibility.

The site uses valid XHTML and valid CSS, we have used some tables within the site which are used for tabular information and not for layout purposes.
